I'm updating the original but I'll also post the new version here for ease of reviewing. --- [It takes Meallan a couple of days to get settled before he even tries talking to people on the strange magic book. Not that he hasn't opened it up a few times and taken a look at the pages that show moving images, like windows into other places, and can play people's voices but the idea that it could somehow do that to him too is… unsettling. He's dabbled with stranger magics though, and everyone he's spoken to has assured him that this 'network' is harmless, more or less. So eventually he decides to try it for himself.
When the video starts it's therefore of… a very close elven face. Very close. It's about three-quarters curious golden eyes and tattooed face, followed by a finger poking at the image.]

[There's more poking at the feed, but this time it remains on.]
