Storm Suggestions
Have a great Storm idea? Post them here!
If you want to suggest a player plot, please go here instead.
Storm Submission Guidelines
- All storms require some sort of trigger influenced by character(s) or situations within the city.
- Please only base storms off of canons that are currently in the game.
- The mods will read and discuss all submissions but will not always respond to every suggestion to indicate that this has occurred. No suggestion is ignored!
- Ideas that can involve all players/characters are the best! Please try to keep this in mind when making your suggestions!
- We the mods reserve the right to reject suggestions if we feel if they break game mechanics or rules (ie: multiple AU characters, pregnancy, etc), if they involve sensitive material and/or themes (ie: extreme gore, sexual assault, etc) or if they are NC-17 in nature. Please contact us if you are uncertain if your suggestion would fall into these categories.
- Have fun!

Domus Dei Storm
Trigger: Irene)
Irene's homeworld is, in short, a dystopian future setting where all nations converge under the Domus Dei empire. The empire maintains its rule primarily through near constant surveillance, as well as the objective fact that they experiment and ritualistically torture citizens in order to obtain psychic abilities from a fifth-dimensional monster they deal with called the Chimera. The planet is overrun with factory-based cities called Sectors, and the usual way to get from one Sector to another are on hovercars that ride along on monorails.
The capitol of the empire is Sector Seven, where you'll find the Citadel, the Cathedral, and the Towers of Ritual.
The idea is pretty simple. For one week, Nautilus will turn into a replica of Sector Seven. Nonhumans will be made human, and Bending will be cut off, so there won't be any superpowers to fight the soldiers that constantly patrol the streets. And while characters are free to fight back, keep in mind that these soldiers are NOT pushovers. These are trained soldiers who have a quota to fill, and will literally invent reasons to shoot you even without provocation. And there's a lot of them, so uh, stirring up a ruckus might not be the best idea unless you've got enough people on your side to back you up.
The streets will have hovering monitors that have everyone's personal information on file. How they have your information, you don't know, but it's all right there in black and white. Cameras are stationed on every corner, following every motion. Always watching.
Residents will be particularly hounded by soldiers for offenses like being out before proper hours, being out after hours, owning a weapon, owning a musical instrument, owning books, CDs or DVDs that aren't government approved (hint: if it's not Domus Dei propaganda, then chances are it's not approved), badmouthing the empire, partaking in religious worship of any kind (that isn't Chimera related), or trying to leave your part of the city without a security clearance from the soldiers. And thanks to the constant surveillance, they WILL find out one way or another.
And of course, anyone caught trying to rebel against this temporary empire will probably end up in one of the many prisons scattered around the districts, possibly to end up executed if anyone wants to amp up the drama/plan super special awesome rescues.
STILL HAMMERING OUT DETAILS but will happily provide any that are needed. 8D;;
