Activity Check Full Information
Activity Check runs from 12am PST on the 1st day of the month until 3pm PST on the 4th day of each and every month. Reminders will go out following that and Activity Check is finalized on the 8th of the month.
Characters accepted into The Wake during this month's cycle are exempt but need to submit the check-in form.
Fill out the appropriate forms below and submit your AC in the comments by the 4th to remain in the game!
1. Game Requirements: Each character must meet activity requirements starting from their second month. You may not take a hiatus to avoid an AC the month after acceptance unless you reach out and receive moderator approval in advance.
2. Activity Requirements:
Two (2) pieces of activity are required each month for each character in order to remain in the game.
Ascended characters must have three (3) pieces of activity to maintain their Ascended status and will drop down one level if this requirement is not met and a save isn't or cannot be taken.
3A. What Counts as Activity: A valid piece of activity is defined as any of the following that originate within the month or falls within the six month rule:
3B. The Six Month Rule: As of October 2016, we will now allow applicable activity within ongoing threads in posts and logs if submitted activity takes place within the Activity Check's month and the original activity piece is 6 months old or less.
Such activity can be used for a maximum of two times within this period. These threads must meet the usual requirements for AC.
A second use of a thread must be marked as such by the person submitting it for AC. An attempt to submit a third time or a thread more than 6 months old is invalid. Please refer to these two charts for visual clarification on this rule: Wake AC Validity Chart and Wake AC Sample Use
If a comment thread within a character's post meets the condition to count as a valid thread within this validity window, it can be used for AC for that character who originally posted it.
Deliberate attempts to misuse submitting in this system (Including but not limited to trying to pass off a 3rd attempt as a 2nd, etc) will result in a strike.
4. Things that do not qualify as activity: The following are not valid to be counted towards activity
5. Hiatuses: You are exempt from AC If you took an approved hiatus in this month that lasted for two weeks or longer. Hiatuses must have been posted to the Hiatus Post and approved prior to AC. Hiatuses cannot be retroactive.
If you are exempted for a hiatus in one month, you must meet the AC in the following month unless you ask for and receive mod approval to extend it.
6. Special Circumstances: In the event of serious extenuating circumstances (ie: physical health, natural disasters, job situation, loss of access to electronics, loss of computers/cars, extended trips, etc.) preventing you from turning in activity, please contact the mods directly either personally or via reliable proxy. It is ideal that these things are brought up as soon as possible prior to Activity Check so that we are aware. These cannot be taken into consideration after Activity Check has closed.
7. Saves: In the event that a character has failed an Activity Check a Save can be requested for that character if that character has been consistent previously. This is only allowed while Activity Check remains open.
Saves are not meant to replace regular activity and hiatuses. Saves are ideally taken sparingly.
Save Restrictions:
8. Moderator Contact: Mods may privately contact players who submit AC that doesn't qualify or who consistently neglect to post their activity without bringing it up with the moderators.
*Characters that do not post to the Activity Check while it is open, fails it after a Save/Hiatus/new character exemption will be dropped from the game regardless of Ascension status.
Ascended characters who make two but not three pieces of activity will not be dropped, but they will lose their character's Ascension status by one rank unless they request a save, and they will require four pieces of activity the next month in order to maintain Ascended status.
Characters ejected from the game due to lack of activity are allowed to re-apply although acceptance will be entirely at the discretion of the mods. If a character has been dropped multiple times due to activity issues, reclaiming said character is less likely. Ascended characters that have been dropped from the game due to inadequate activity will lose their Ascended status upon their return.

thewakelogs (1+ comments).
- A comment thread on another character's post containing 12 responses from your character.
- This third type can be two separate threads with your character contributes a minimum of 6 comments each (6+6 = 12). Chained reaction comments (the ones labeled 1/2, 2/4, etc.) count as one response.

4. Things that do not qualify as activity: The following are not valid to be counted towards activity
- Logs with your character's name in them but no comments from your character
- A second use of a thread not marked as such, or an attempt to use a third time. (please refer to Wake AC Sample Use)

Save Restrictions:
- 1) Saves cannot be used the month after a hiatus or the month after acceptance. That Activity Check must be met.
- 2) The month after a character is saved, the Activity Check must be met for that character with one extra piece of activity to compensate for the missed activity from the previous month. That Activity Check may not be missed due to hiatus.
- 3) Ascended status can only be saved once every six months with an Ascension Save.
- 4) Overuse of Saves may result in a character's removal from the game. The mods will contact a player prior to removal from the game to alert them to the situation.
- 5) Deliberate attempts to misuse submitting in this system (Including but not limited to trying to pass off a 3rd attempt as a 2nd, etc) will result in a strike.
