Character History: You have two options for the history requirement:
1) Write the full history of your character out (especially if your canon is obscure).
or
2) Link to a detailed wikia page for your character and provide your own bullet point summary of your character’s history.

Character Personality: Please be as detailed as possible so that we have a good picture of the character. What makes this character tick? What are their strengths and weaknesses? Minimum three paragraphs.

Network: Your network sample entry should be made as if your character were posting to a public network, such as Dreamwidth. It does not have to be their first post (ie, "OMG WHERE AM I?!"), but it does have to show that the character is perfectly aware of the fact that this is something that other people are likely to see. Please avoid excessive use of descriptions in [action tags] here, as one would get in video posts - we're looking for your character's voice, the one they use for talking to others. Save the internal monologues for the third person sample.

If you use TDM for your network sample it needs to meet the following requirements:
* Taken from the Test Drive Meme for The Wake and not any other game
* Contains at least 12 comments from the character being applied for
* Contains enough material for us to see how the character is like
* Has to reflect their first person voice

Third Person: 300 word minimum. This is the place to show your character's inner thoughts within the setting. Give us a nice third person narrative of your character doing something, plus how they feel about it. This doesn't have to be blatant "this is what my character is thinking, designated by italics!" but should rather show your character's self via their actions and interactions with their environment.

Original Character Applications - we ask that you be AS DETAILED AS POSSIBLE.

Personality: (at least 3 paragraphs) Just as with the history, please be detailed in providing a good idea of what sort of character this is, how he/she thinks and acts, etc. Given this is an original character, this section is just as important as the history and should compliment it.

Powers and Abilities: Self explanatory.

World Summary: (describe their world- is it modern, fantasy, historical, sci-fi, etc? What is the political/social scene like for your character? What in their world is relevant to them? This should be at least two paragraphs)

Combat in and Out

Hello and thank you for your interest in the Wake! Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept this application. One minor note we would like to touch upon is the application's formatting. The spacing is excessive, but it can be easily fixed. The main reasons as to why we are rejecting the application is due to the history, the personality, and the third-person sections.

The history needs more fleshing out. Minor characters do tend to have smaller roles in major storylines, but we want to know what the character contributes and experiences from their point of view. Also, it's not written in a way that someone who's canon blind would be able to understand it. Regardless of whenever or not any of us are familiar with the canon.

The personality section, while good in laying out the groundwork, needs to paint a full picture of who the character is. Think of how canon events affect the character, how it may or may not have affected his way of dealing with things or interacting with others. What are his personality flaws? That sort of thing.

As for the third-person sample, it does not meet the minimum 300 word requirement. That can also be easily fixed. We recommend using a word counter to make sure you meet it.
