------------ NETWORK POST --------------
Everyone within the sound of my voice: inform me briefly what all you've accomplished with your toughest bending exercises.
Casual show of hands, and how many of you are already planning to punch me in the face just for the way I asked that, more than the real content?
COME COME! [Claps his hands together.] I haven't got all day!
[The reasons to punch him just keep mounting don't they?]
[This is, of course, all a test on Kilgrave's own part, to see who is affected, much like a reverse show hypnotist, and who is genuinely most likely to play hero and try to kill him for the "good of everyone.]
Clothing. Everyone's choices here are either just so dreadful or bare minimum: unfortunate. Don't any of you have a sense of style? It's like none of you have the right eye cones to see real colors. Ghastly! Go to Junes' and dress up like you're all going to a high school prom! Promptly. Go! Shoo!
----
Third Person:
Kilgrave scowled as he looked around. Too few people. Too many dangers. It was like a private hell designed just for him. Or, as he thought to himself, if the tales of this being the "city of change" were correct; a purgatory. He wasn't sure which was worse. At least he'd been in hellish situations before. Trying to tune out some sanctimonious prattle about eating vegetables and keeping your nose clean was even worse than watching Trish's sister's show: Patsy, with all that pre-teen afterschool moral garbage.
He groaned dramatically and rested his elbow against a wall to prop up his forehead, glancing idly at his reflection in a window.
Where was she anyway?!
Jessica, that was, of course. He didn't care one whit about her vapid talk show host friend, but anyplace without his Jessica was torment anyway. Especially after he'd spent so long working to get her attention fixated on him again! They should be living happily ever after by now! Or well "happily." Jessica was never happy, and a severe alcoholic, a violent temper, and without Kilgrave's hold over her, she'd gotten so much worse rather than better, but still, he could fix that. Possibly. Besides, it was her idea to try to see if he could be used to do "good." Whatever that meant.
Which was probably why he was there.
Well, of course it was all her fault. Such things usually were. Unappreciative, but gorgeous and strong as steel or titanium, Jessica.
It wasn't like Kilgrave needed purpose or some such nonsense. Unlike his dear sweet violent, often ruthless, Jessica, Kilgrave absolutely wanted to live. She never made it easy on him though. Well, that was part of the fun. She was the only person he'd ever met who could deny him what he wanted most. Well, until Nautilus.
Contemptible city if ever there was a name for such a specific hell, it'd have to be something that would sound so innocuous to ordinary mundane idiots who didn't know better. Feh.
Well, perhaps.... Perhaps it really was a gift in a way. How many times had he lamented about being unable to tell when someone actually did something because they wanted to, or because he was shoddy with his choice of words? One of the many side effects of being able to order what you wanted at will. And now he could have it. Now he couldn't use his own survival as an excuse anymore -- although the sheer lack of luxurious comforts was dismal after the high-life of New York City. Now he could have real interactions with real people, all just as powerful as him and Jessica. For a city with so many less people, he would also be less alone.
Then again? Who really needed ANY of that?!

Then, post on the OOC community to introduce your character!
For those of you with Plurk, please feel free to also add
If you like, you may also join our crack community
Lastly, your character will wake up in the Western District.
*Note: The one in the Network style is what we were looking for, thank you. =)
Also in terms of his power of mind control, please keep in mind the Bending Restrictions. We suggest either to either really reach to influence other characters in ways other than just regaining his mind control (ie through charisma, sweet talking, etc), or have it nerfed and play out how not having that ability would shape him in game.
